Welcome to the Laboratory of Translational Neuroscience – UFSC

Our research group started in 2015. We work on investigating the biological mechanisms involved in resilience and susceptibility to stress, and their impact on emotional behavior. We use a combination of studies in animal models, behavioral assessment, immunological, neurochemical, and histological parameters, combined with studies in patients with neuropsychiatric disorders to understand how the brain and body adapt and respond to stress.
